got wilderness permit beginning tomorrow 9/15 cancelled, notified by recreation.gov. obviously Inyo extended the previously announced closure (through today). is there a site where Inyo is announcing updates on closure? are they going to walk the closure forward one day at a time, "as conditions change", implying that reopening (wishful thinking) will be announced the day before?
not complaining, they got their hands full, and then some. have no more reservations, but would like to track, with as much lead time as possible, any reopening.

Re: Inyo closures updates
My permit for a trip departing on 18th got canceled and the closure order is extended to 21st. They are probably re-evaluating the situation on a weekly basis. This is a good call as the resources are stretched thin with so many wildfires.

I don't give out specific route information, my belief is that it takes away from the whole adventure spirit of a trip, if you need every inch planned out, you'll have to get that from someone else.

Re: Inyo closures updates
My permit for 9/24 in Inyo NF got canceled. I don't see an extension beyond 9/21 on Inyo NF website.

Re: Inyo closures updates
Well, now I don't feel bad about cancelling my trip on Sept 20th.
