I just got home from Mount Whitney #44. OMG!

My face is sunburned. The backs of my hands are sunburned. I have all sorts of nicks and scratches. I hurt in places where I didn't even know that I had places.

When people say that the PCT is dry from Lower Rock Creek Crossing to Chicken Spring Lake, they are not wrong.

Crossing Crabtree Pass from south to north was... shall we say..._interesting. I was a couple of hundreds of yards off-route.
