Beashore road and Trail Access?
Helllllllo!
Anyone driven up this road lately? I'm curious how far does it get you? Mammoth Trailhead? Fernandez? Trying to do some trips out here next weekend.

In an ordinary vehicle, I've been up to Granite Creek.

All clear up there. Went to Granite Creek last weekend via minarets road. Im in Bass Lake and local reports are all clear for Beasore. Where are you headed?

Are permits available for overnighting? (Not being snarky, I'd like to go next weekend).

I'm not sure about that.. The ranger station in North Fork usually awnsers the phone. In the past anyway.

I went up to Granite Creek a few years ago.
CORRECTION: Technically, I only drove down from Granite Creek. A team of us had hiked over from Horseshoe Lake near Mammoth. By the time we got to Granite Creek, it was dark, so we just jumped into the vehicle and drove. I didn't really see how rough the road was, but I felt it.

The rangers said that they were issuing permits. However, not if your permit/trip goes into Yosemite.

I drove up and did a day hike with my kids to Jackass lakes last weekend. It was all clear.

This is why I love this site, so many responses from people who have already been up there this year!
