Yosemite paradox

Grab your bear can or camp chair, kick your feet up and chew the fat about anything Sierra Nevada related that doesn't quite fit in any of the other forums. Within reason, (and the HST rules and guidelines) this is also an anything goes forum. Tell stories, discuss wilderness issues, music, or whatever else the High Sierra stirs up in your mind.

They've announced that the Mist Trail is now open.

The only problem is that the park is still closed to visitors. sigh

We could hope that in anticipation of opening, they are still keeping track of the condition of various trails and posting the information. Perhaps they will open trails before roads into the park. Once the snow melts a bit you can get into the park from FS trailheads on all sides. No harm in being unrealistically optimistic! :)
