Interesting strava heat map showing gps routes
Strava released all of their tracking data to the public this week. It's interesting to see some of the routes people have taken through the High Sierra. This one here shows multiple tracks over Mt Gardiner, coming in from Charlotte Lake.

The map is not showing up; perhaps my computer settings.
If the tracks show actually going over the top of Mt. Gardiner, that simply is typical location inaccuracies of remote sensing data overlays.

I don't give out specific route information, my belief is that it takes away from the whole adventure spirit of a trip, if you need every inch planned out, you'll have to get that from someone else.

Wow, this Strava data is super interesting. Thanks for sharing the link @dbogey.
If you're looking for deep wilderness solitude, it's a map of where NOT to backpack in 2018. It also confirms a lot of my suspicions. . . like, hardly anybody visits Tehipite Valley; the High Sierra Trail is insanely popular but it seems like nobody visits Nine Lakes Basin along the way; the northern boundary of Yosemite remains relatively untrod apart from the PCT; there's not a single Strava track down the Muro Blanco.

That's really cool! I like that I've gone to so many "blank" areas, but I was also surprised to see some tracks to pretty seldom used fishing spots.
Looks like at least one person went to Palmer Cave

You can also see everyone's favorite ski lines off of Alta Peak going down to the Pear Lake ski hut.
This thing is cool! Looks like I won't be getting any work done for the next hour
