Bears Taking A Dip At Lake Tahoe Beach

Grab your bear can or camp chair, kick your feet up and chew the fat about anything Sierra Nevada related that doesn't quite fit in any of the other forums. Within reason, (and the HST rules and guidelines) this is also an anything goes forum. Tell stories, discuss wilderness issues, music, or whatever else the High Sierra stirs up in your mind.

I don't give out specific route information, my belief is that it takes away from the whole adventure spirit of a trip, if you need every inch planned out, you'll have to get that from someone else.

Looks like Pope beach...
Higher taxes never reduce the deficit. Governments spend whatever they take in and then whatever they can get away with.

I've had a bear in my garage and one in my son's tree house, and see them pretty regularly when I'm driving around town, but I've never seen 'em swimming at the beach before!

I have not either and the mother does not seem to be bothered by all the human presence around them, even with the 2 cubs.
