Grab your bear can or camp chair, kick your feet up and chew the fat about anything Sierra Nevada related that doesn't quite fit in any of the other forums. Within reason, (and the HST rules and guidelines) this is also an anything goes forum. Tell stories, discuss wilderness issues, music, or whatever else the High Sierra stirs up in your mind.
Just watched this movie yesterday. It's about two old dudes (played by Robert Redford and Nick Nolte) who decide with zero preparation to hike the Appalachian Trail. It is a comedy and was a pretty good movie. The dialog the two have on the trail sounds like what our (my sister, brother and brother-in-law) shared on the HST earlier this month. A good bit of the movie takes place on the trail so there is a lot of beautiful scenery for eye candy.
Btw, does the guy on the left look like someone we know?
I haven't seen the movie (probably will wait for the DVD) but I did read the book. I thought it was an enjoyable read but it bogged down about half way through....
