R02 TR: Mono Pass/Lyell Canyon Loop (June 21-24, 2024)

I have never considered Mono Pass- always go in from Tioga. Can you get a passenger car to Mono Pass TH?

I also find it a bit confusing they have 2 Mono passes so close to one another.

Thanks for the report and photos. Very nice! That's a great idea for a short loop in Yosemite. I'm curious though how it was crossing the Lyell Fork on the last day when you left the JMT to head towards your car...

It was a bit tricky to find a safe place - we crossed just a bit south of where the JMT takes a hard-ish left (west) near Hwy 120 where we found a nice flat section that wasn't too slippery or deep.
