Yesterday I did a day hike to Rattlesnake Peak in the San Gabriels. It was a beautiful day out there and the hike was along a ridge most of the way, so the views were nice. Here are some pictures I took:

and here's a view of the Iron Mtn/Baldy/Cucamonga area from along the ridge to Rattlesnake. Not too much snow out there.

Cool shots Kathy! Very little snow in the San Gabriels this year its seems. That looks like a heck of a climb too.

Beautiful pictures Kathy! It does look really dry there...I don't think these storms we are getting has hit that far South

very nice pictures - looks like a fun route - one of these days I will trick my truck into driving south to hike - it will not be an easy task.
