Hello HST community!
We are just about to head off to the Sierra for three weeks to do the Southern SHR and the SHR together. We arrive in Mammoth Lakes on this Friday, and hit the trail on Saturday.
Since we're flying in to Mammoth Lakes, and coming back there in the middle of our trip and again at the end, I'm wondering if anybody has any ideas as to how/where we can store our gear (town clothes, few odds and ends) that we're not hiking with. Are there any storage lockers in town or hotels that will hold stuff or people in the BPL community who live near there who would be willing to hold our gear?
Thanks for any help. Right now our plan is to mail it to ourselves in Mammoth Lakes c/o general delivery, but doing that twice seems very expensive and inefficient assuming they let us even do that.
Eli

Hi Eli,
Welcome to HST! There are numerous storage facilities in Mammoth, give them a call to find the best rates. Came across this, but do not know whether they offer this during the Summer as well: http://www.mammothmountain.com/winter/l ... ker-rental

I don't give out specific route information, my belief is that it takes away from the whole adventure spirit of a trip, if you need every inch planned out, you'll have to get that from someone else.

I know that the Hostel in Lone Pine will keep boxes for hikers. How about the one in Mammoth?
