For anyone considering a photo trip up to Precipice Lake, here's what the ice looks like as of Thursday, June 11:
I don't know how long it will last.
As to trail conditions: One patch of snow just below the lake, trivial to cross. The wildflowers are best just below Bearpaw Meadow, and aren't so good above Hamilton Lake. All streams can be crossed with dry feet, but trekking poles are useful for balance and safety. Thunderstorms deterred me from checking out Kaweah Gap.
Thanks Tie for the conditions report and photo of Precipice.

I don't give out specific route information, my belief is that it takes away from the whole adventure spirit of a trip, if you need every inch planned out, you'll have to get that from someone else.
