I am planning to hike the Benson lake/Matterhorn canyon loop around June 20. To help plan for this trip, I am very interested to learn what the current creek conditions are on the Piute Creek crossing (on the PCT before the Benson lake junction) and also further on on the PCT by the Smedberg Creek. I understand from hikers' blogs, that these crossings can be very difficult and deep in early season, and I was wondering if this is the case at the moment, bearing in mind that this has been a low snow fall year?
Thanks for your help.

Hi Paul,
Welcome to HST! No reports on that area yet, had a recent report from the rangers station for the Walker River, which reports a high, swift, and dangerous crossing.
When you get some time, an intro would be appreciated here: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=9329

I don't give out specific route information, my belief is that it takes away from the whole adventure spirit of a trip, if you need every inch planned out, you'll have to get that from someone else.
