Would love to meet up but think I'm still too much of a rookie to do this. Trying to build my way up to the big hikes, don't want to get myself into any sort of trouble.

Not trying to push you into doing something your not comfortable with IB, keep in mind that you could
possibly hook up with another HST member who has already indicated their interest in attending.
Learning the ropes from an experienced backpacker is the best way to become get good at this sport.

I would invite you to come with me but as of now I will have limited time available, so I will be in and
out (Thur-Sun), if I can manage to get 2 more days off then your welcome to come with me.

It's more of the pace and what not. I did the Hite Cove trail and it literally kicked my butt. I think total elevation gain was 600ft, but it was only like 100ft max at one time? Maybe 200? My pace would be much worse going up 10,000ft peaks I'm sure.

But definitely thanks for the offer. Hopefully next year I'll be in much better shape and be built up for the big stuff.

I'm going to do the reverse of the itinerary I had previously posted and would like some feedback on 2 possible segments. I'm starting this day from Lion Lake, crossing Triple Divide Peak and coming down to the Kern-Kaweah River. At this point, I see 2 possible routes to the lake which I'm allotting 2 days for - maybe 3 days if I go to Red Spur Lakes too. What are the pros and cons of routes A and B?

I have done your "A" route. Not sure why you would go all the way up the Kern Keweah. From just off the trail (river mile 6), you can ascend directly south to the large unnamed lake that intersects the route you show. But I am not sure how you come down from Triple Divide pass and if that automatically puts you in the upper Kern Keweah (river mile 8). Picket Guard Pass is steep with rock benches. I had to take off my pack and lift it up onto some ledges several times. Taller people may not have that problem. "A" was efficient, but was not as scenic as Pyr Queen but a lot easier. I have camped at the round lake east of Pants Pass. It is really rocky. Here is a photo of your "B" route from this lake (2008).
