Here's a short clip of a herd of bucks on the John Muir Trail. I dropped my video camera 2 days prior to shooting this, so it's a bit skippy. Compressed through Quicktime, best viewed tiny. August 2012

Great thread. Inspired me to piece together some photos and movies from last year.

music copyright violation, caught by publisher and as a result muted by Youtube.

Nice!! what editor and cam did you use to put your piece together? If you want less skeeters on you, take along TehipiteTom. He's a Magnet for them!!copeg wrote:Great thread. Inspired me to piece together some photos and movies from last year.

Thanks Russ. Two cams - Canon 6D (tripod video and photos) and a Canon powershot P&S (for the walkin'/talkin' shots). Pieced together with iMovie and ffmpeg (got a new laptop recently which made the editing much less of a pain than before)
I'll keep that in mind, although I might give him a run for his moneyrlown wrote:If you want less skeeters on you, take along TehipiteTom. He's a Magnet for them!!

Not an awesome video like copeg, but here's a quick video of the snow in Yosemite National Park. Drove up to Crane Flat and drove on the 120 for that brief one mile that is open in the winter up to the college?

guess when they start plowing 120, it's not gonna take very long to open that road. Nice to see snow though. Thanks for sharing!

Here's a little bit I put together after some friends from school and I went up to Grant Grove a couple of weeks ago. Try not to venture too deep into your own thoughts when watching this thought provoking clip
