Excellent TR Aaron. Maxon Meadow to HFS lake is quite a first day.
If you don't know where you're going, then any path will get you there.

I don't give out specific route information, my belief is that it takes away from the whole adventure spirit of a trip, if you need every inch planned out, you'll have to get that from someone else.

Have a safer backcountry experience by using the HST ReConn Form 2.0, named after Larry Conn, a HST member: http://reconn.org

I enjoyed reading this a great deal. I went to Hell for Sure Lake with Mike. I went to both Goddard canyons with Diane. Once from Six Shooter Lake and the other time from Rainbow Lake. I, of course, didn´t clime a peak buy fished Martha, 10212, Cathedral and Portal Lake-
