7/18 - 7/20 - Coldwater to Ram lakes via duck pass
From coldwater to pika I would put mosquitoes at 0/1. Probably a one at purple lake and a 0/1 at ram lakes. Never used Deet and came home with only 3 to 4 mosquito bites. I'm curious to see how the heavy rains effect things.

Shadow>Ediza>Iceberg>1000 is Lake 7/21-7/24
July 21-24
For all these:
Shadow Lake
Ediza Lake
Ruby Lake
Iceberg Lake
Garnett Lake
Thousand Island Lake
Mosquito rating 1-2
In four days with very little deet I received a single bite. At the beginning of the trip cool weather and brisk winds kept them away. Weather was warming up by the 24th and conditions could change, but they still did not seem numerous. I saw a few around dusk and a few during the day near a bog on the trail, but that was it.

Bearpaw>Hamilton>Little & Big 5 Lakes>Columbine 7/25-7/28
July 25-28
Mineral King, Timber Gap, Bearpaw, Hamilton Lake, Big Arroyo: 0
Little and Big 5 lakes: 2
Upper lost canyon: 2-3
Columbine lake: 0
Everywhere else on route:0
Not much wind except at Columbine lake. Got ~6 bites, did not use deet or a headset even though I had them with me. Wore long sleeves and pants. Most bites were through mesh in the shirt. Stopping to take pictures in boggy areas in the 5 lakes area, and upper lost canyon would have a couple land on my hands.

Southern Ansel Adams Wilderness - out of L. Thomas Edison ~
Southern Ansel Adams Wilderness - out of L. Thomas Edison ~ Aug. 7th. to 16th.
Mosquitoes basically a non issue. A few in daytime around creek heading up to Goodale Pass area but none at all away from water. At dawn and dusk maybe a couple at most near lakes around 10,000 ft. but zero killer instinct and no idea how to attack - doomed to extinction strains.
None around Edison either though away from shoreline in the "water was there a long time ago" zone. (Nice camping spots of sandy ex beaches for a rest stop in or out of trailhead but well away from the 'campers' at convenience store or whatever it is there at Vermillion).
Some periods of rain during the 10 days so plenty of moisture around and was surprised at total lack of bugs. No flies, no yellow-jackets, no gnats, no mosquitoes, no nothing on the aggro front.
best, Zimichael

This late in the season may not be worth reporting but might help someone no less:
0/1 - No mosquitos seen or heard. I did get one bite though but not entirely sure it was a mosquito bite. Camped at Dingleberry Lake where they can be bad but this late in the season they are usually all dead. Didn't see any morning, day or night. Hiked up to Hungry Packer, Moonlight and Midnight lakes and no mozzies encountered.
