I just purchased a used Cloudburst 2 and set it up in my living room. I noticed the lip at the middle of the bathtub floor sags when the corners are pulled up tight to minimize the amount of exposed bug screen to avoid driven rain from the side from entering the inside of the tent .
My question to other tarptent owners is what to do to the sides to keep driving rain from entering the inside. The velcro that is there is to keep the flap up rolled up to maximize ventilation. I'm open to ideas. I spoke to Henry and he suggested sticks to hold it upright from the outside; not a real great idea in my book...

can we get a picture of your "sag" before we all send you complimentary sticks? I'm guessing you want it to air out even in driving rain. I'd go the other way and cinch it down tight, but that's me.

pic would help us understand your problem. Maybe the "texas" accent coming across.

Black "tub" lip/wall needs to stand up 2"`to keep rain out. Also outside skirt needs to cover the gap and be taunt to keep out driving rain.

These photo's show the lips up, maybe with some finess you can solve this issue. This
can also be an issue when setting up on uneven ground.

driving rain. cinch down. it's actually that simple. If you want ventilation in driving rain, that is a different problem.

Rear awning should help a lot with the ventilation during rain Russ.

How do you cinch down the silver side flaps to the ground to cover the bug netting keeping out the rain? There is only one tie out per side...I guess American ingenuity comes into play. Think outside the box; play within the rules. The front/rear beaks are self explaining.
