Effects of latest storm
How is this storm affecting plans ? Plenty of rain in the bay area. All the plans for early season trips will be changed if the sierra gets hit hard.

nota. Hit hard means in excess of 10 inches of water or about 10 feet of snow. Not impossible over the next 3 weeks but extremely unlikely. In my experience after April 15 any significant accretion will be rapidly offset by snow melt.

Weather forecast reported this morning that they are expecting 1ft of snow up in the
Tahoe area and 6-8 inches in Mammoth.

I don't give out specific route information, my belief is that it takes away from the whole adventure spirit of a trip, if you need every inch planned out, you'll have to get that from someone else.

We only got an inch or so at lake level from the last storm. Kind of a nuisance storm more than anything, but we'll take any precip we can get at this point!

Just reviewing the sensors - looks like 1 to 1 1/2 inches of water content (around 10-15" of snow depth) so far in the Tahoe - Yosemite area, tapering as you go south to more like less than an inch around the headwaters of the Kern. Also looks like a little more on the west side, for instance Blackcap Basin getting more than Bishop pass. More snow in the forecast for this week, and that also looks like more north than south.
None of this is game-changing as regards summer plans, but it will help the drought a little - every little bit helps. Total snowpack is still very low, at this point it looks like we'll be lucky to have more snowpack than the lowest winter on record (76-77). A snowy April would help.
