Big Pine South Fork crossing

I have a couple of questions about this crossing, and early season crossings in general.

Has anyone done this crossing since the bridge was taken out? How deep and fast should I expect it this year?

I'm considering doing a quick birthday trip at the end of April with a couple dayhikes, and this is one I thought might work. The river crossing is the main concern. I'm thinking that it might be early enough in the season (still cold out) where it won't be that high? I'm not super experienced with early season crossings or this particular river so I'm hoping to get some info here.
