Grab your bear can or camp chair, kick your feet up and chew the fat about anything Sierra Nevada related that doesn't quite fit in any of the other forums. Within reason, (and the HST rules and guidelines) this is also an anything goes forum. Tell stories, discuss wilderness issues, music, or whatever else the High Sierra stirs up in your mind.
I just joined HST, and thought I would say hello. My name is Dustin, I live in arcata, CA and go to school at Humboldt State. I haven't spent much time in the Sierras but would like to make a trip or two this year. I am a very avid fly fisherman and spend quite a bit of time in the Trinity alps, Lost coast, russian wilderness etc.
Here is a picture from my last trip a day hike to canyon creek lake... about as pleasant of day hike as there is (go towards the end of October to avoid the summer crowds). I will spend this weekend in the lower elevation green trinities -very nice this time of year.
I will likely hang around the "Beyond The Sierra Nevada" forum
