Discovered a hike on Berryessa Peak on a BLM site and took the crew out for the jaunt. With the warm weather and the almost 16 miles of rought trails, it was a bit much. None the less, several of us made the peak. TH starts about 1.5 north of the intersection of the Berryessa Knoxville Road and the East Side Road on the north end of the lake. You can see theTH on Google Earth. Here are a few shots. If you need more info, PM me and I'll set you up. Pick a cool day. Its a western exposure.
Poppies are out all over the place! We did a hike near Berryessa last year and it is a good early season area for something different. I would not want to do it this weekend with the heat. It hit 90 degrees here yesterday.
