Mosquitos?!

My group will be heading out on the High Sierra Trail to Whitney on the 26th of August. Years of past have been kind so late in the season regarding Mosquitos in the area. However, with all of the water/snow this year I was wondering if anyone has made that trek recently that can shed some light on their activity? Also, any recent trail updates would be greatly appreciated. I know the waters flowing so interested to see how things are working out thus far. Spent a week in Graveyard Lakes basin in Early July of this year and bugs were veracious and there was enough water to fill even the driest of reservoirs in Southern California.
