Grab your bear can or camp chair, kick your feet up and chew the fat about anything Sierra Nevada related that doesn't quite fit in any of the other forums. Within reason, (and the HST rules and guidelines) this is also an anything goes forum. Tell stories, discuss wilderness issues, music, or whatever else the High Sierra stirs up in your mind.

Yosemite Valley, CA-- In celebration of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day next Monday, Yosemite National Park will offer free admission into the park starting this weekend.

The fee waiver is for all visitors Saturday, January 15th through Monday, January 17th. Fees being waived for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day weekend include the fees associated with entrance into the park only. All other fees associated with camping, lodging, or activities within the park are not waived, and the fee waiver only applies to the Martin Luther King, Jr. Day weekend.
