Hi folks the following isn't a Sierra Nevada post but rather about a day in our Coast Range. Of course the snowy peaks of the Sierra are easily visible on clear days to the east and vice versa. We'll all be up their soon if the storms stop and snow melts haha. At this time of year throughout low elevations of California and our mountain foothills, spring wildflowers are exploding in color. So a bit here to spark an interest in that glory.
Thursday was a break in our unusually stormy spring so I drove out to a Coast Range area I've been working this spring. I created a short 21 image slide show of images from that day. Most images are closeups of wildflowers and lichen covered rocks and oaks with 4 images showing the landscape. Go to my website at http://www.davidsenesac.com homepage then select the "Coast Range Spring Slide Show" field that will bring up a page containing a "Slide Show" field. At this time I'll decline saying where haha, however one can find nice areas in many foothill parklands.
