Has anyone tried these? I never even heard of them until seeing a reference on a website just today. The reviews sound almost too good to be true.

Re: MicroSpikes
I have a pair. They're by no means true crampons, but do the trick in a pinch and are pretty compact. Wouldn't use them for much more than you might use Yaktrax for, which are cheaper.

Re: MicroSpikes
I would rather carry my Stubai Ultralight Universal Crampons, which will work better
and work well on my trail runners.

Re: MicroSpikes
Thanks guys.
The Yaktrax got pretty bad reviews on REI -- apparently they break easily.
Mav, I see that your crampons fit flip-flops. I'm impressed.

Re: MicroSpikes
I've heard/read similar reports. I don't have first hand experience with Yaks, so can't say for sure. May be a simple matter of use, dunno. I was just thinking lightweight, cheap, minimal use...who cares. But, I can definitely see where I could be wrong in that assumption.quentinc wrote:The Yaktrax got pretty bad reviews on REI -- apparently they break easily.
