Log me on automatically each visit question
Hi,
How is the "Log me on automatically each visit" supposed to work? I'm on Vista Home Premium, and using IE8. I've checked it, but maybe what i expect to happen isn't what is intended by that checkbox (i would think if i hit the site, i would be logged in automagically.)
Are there settings that need to be enabled to make this work?
Russ

Re: Log me on automatically each visit question
That is how it works for me. i don't think I've had to log on in over a month except a couple times I logged off so I could copy and forward the link to a friend.(i would think if i hit the site, i would be logged in automagically.)

Russ, check and make sure you're browser allows cookies. I'm also going to purge the cache on the forum software right now to see if that helps. Report back if anything changes.

My browser is cookie-enabled. hard to use a browser anymore without cookies. I think this might come down to settings in the IE security settings. I'll give it another try.ERIC wrote:Russ, check and make sure you're browser allows cookies. I'm also going to purge the cache on the forum software right now to see if that helps. Re: Log me on automatically each visit question
It could also be an automatic process on your computer, such as Adaware?
Something you might try to test whether it's a browser issue or not, is to download another browser (like Firefox, etc) and see if you can get the feature to work.
