Anyone have any kind of outlook on the spring wildflower bloom in DV this year? Hoping I can get down there for some photos this year!
Thanks!

I'm going up this coming weekend. . .We have a friend who lives at Furnace Creek who photographs the flowers, and she said they were beginning to bloom. I'll report back

I'm baaack!
Death Valley was, well Death Valley! Furnace Creek was the busiest this nuby (only 3 visits) has seen it, but heading out to Titus Canyon or the Dunes at StovePipe was still sublime. As is the morning light on the Panamints.
Our friend says that the flowers are not expected to be too flashy this year, but the peak will likely be in a week or so.
Temperatures were very mellow, but it's going to get hotter, doncha' know!

Hi SteveB
I usually check the park website and http://www.calphoto.com/wflower.htm
for wild flower and fall color updates, calphoto is a great resource.
