My landscape shots won't begin to compare to those taken by the many talented photographers on this board, but I thought I'd add a little flavor by posting a couple of my favorite Sierra trout shots.

Fishing Before the Storm
Waited until an October storm rolled in at Heather Lake in the Desolation Wilderness (or I may have just gotten lucky), with the darkening skies and chop on the water's surface adding an extra luster to the spawning colors of the brook trout.

Colors of the Backcountry
Taken mid-morning on a clear September day at Woodchuck Lake, half-submerged under water with the bright orange fins providing a nice contrast against the gravel bed.
Well, I guess I'll include one landscape shot..

Woodchuck and Beyond
The smoke from the Tehipite fire had given the entire area a hazy veil for the last few days but as we took a look east back toward Crown Lake, we found that a stiff wind had succeeded in clearing the sky and revealing a magnificent view of the White Divide beyond Blackcap Basin.
