Grab your bear can or camp chair, kick your feet up and chew the fat about anything Sierra Nevada related that doesn't quite fit in any of the other forums. Within reason, (and the HST rules and guidelines) this is also an anything goes forum. Tell stories, discuss wilderness issues, music, or whatever else the High Sierra stirs up in your mind.

The Sierra's own Mt. Whitney Trail is a finalist in the "Save the Trails" http://www.wheresyours.com/SaveTheTrailsVote.aspx contest sponsored by Nature Valley granola bars. If you vote for Whitney, Friends of Inyo http://www.friendsoftheinyo.org will be awarded $$ to do a maintenance project on the 99 switchbacks next summer. Vote--and then consider being a volunteer on the project next summer!

Just a bump for a good cause here. Please help Friends of the Inyo get enough votes for funding for a trail project on the Main Mt Whitney Trail next summer.
