Grab your bear can or camp chair, kick your feet up and chew the fat about anything Sierra Nevada related that doesn't quite fit in any of the other forums. Within reason, (and the HST rules and guidelines) this is also an anything goes forum. Tell stories, discuss wilderness issues, music, or whatever else the High Sierra stirs up in your mind.
The Sierra will be without a familiar face for a month; Snowy's on her way to Adelaide, Australia to visit Snowdude, who is there for a few months of work. This will break her string of 1000 or so straight weekends.............or something like that..................peakbagging or snowboarding in Cali or Nevada! She assures me that she will be peakbagging or snowboarding every weekend she's in the land down under! Watch out for the dingo's and take your 'roo repellant! Post some pics when you get a chance, and we'll keep the Sierra warm for ya!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks! I still have to work today, and will be on a plane tonight. I'm not looking forward to the flight after all the news about QANTAS (and also gargoyles come to mind ), but looking forward to seeing SnowDude again.
For those that don't know, he took a 6 month assignment in Australia which ends Dec 23rd. This is the first of two trips that I will be taking there. Not breaking the hiking/snowboarding streak yet. I'll also be hiking during the week while he's at work, backpacking on at least one weekend, and snowboarding the second week out.
I will post TRs if the connection is not too slow.
