SSSdave 2024 Trip Chronicles through June now uploaded

Post by SSSdave »

After very active field work this 2024 spring, have completed HTML coding and uploading into my website that now has over 7.4k files at over 2gb. And that includes my surprise of what I would label as an actual "superbloom" that news media was not ever aware. Quite obvious viewing the images.

May not do any backpacking this summer. Eleven days ago at the Santa Clara Kaiser Permanente Hospital had successful left inguinal hernia mesh repair surgery so have been in slow recovery since that has gone well. Will be conservative the next few months so it has time to fully heal. Been wearing hernia brace the last 4 years even with all the backpacking and snow skiing that I can now retire. Expect will be easily be able to carry my camera gear on road trips.

Just before that did work a fair amount of close-ups again this spring at the most excellent San Jose Municipal Rose Garden not yet loaded to my website. Before that completed post processing, HTML coding, and uploading for the two spring road trips mentioned on the other 2025 thread. However since my 2016 Dell XPS-15 laptop Master Boot Record became corrupted, that won't be fixed if possible for awhile, am typing now as I post on a cheap Windows 11 system without much software.

At least will be the situation for another 2+ weeks until a new HP desktop system I just bought online at the HP dot come site is delivered that I've needed to purchase anyway to work with the future 8k displays I've mentioned. (Note, am not a video game enthusiast, haha.) Will take some effort to move my Adobe and other licensed graphic software to.

Heal quickly Dave! There is plenty of Sierra to be had by car camping, good luck and please continue to post your trips and photography.

Short update on May 30, 2025, 29 days after noted left groin surgery.

Have continued to slowly heal as described relatively fine though still can feel slight pain from sutures, stitches pulling on tissues when moving around that decreases day by day. Plan to do a fair amount of outdoor street dancing this weekend at festivals. Already expecting I might be able to do some backpacking this summer by late July.

My new noted HP computer has been delayed and now set to be delivered in about 10 days so currently am rather limited using a cheap Windows 11 laptop without extra software.
