Half Dome lottery - fail - again

This post is just me whining - I'm looking for some empathy here. I put in seven dates, mostly Mon and Tues, a couple Sundays, for 2 people. DEnied. Same as last year. And the year before. And the year before that. At what point do I start believing nefarious explanations?

And yes, I know there's the daily lottery in addition. I've tried that and failed there too. That the system incentivizes the lottery operator BoozAllen to promote and deny really gets under my skin.

And yes, I know you can just hike Cloud's Rest instead. I do that. But it's harder.

Ranting is fun. I put in a fallback entry for 3 people that spanned the entire open season. Failed.

I've only climbed it with the cables down. Or get a friend (or guide) to top-rope tough guy you up Snake Dike. Or climb it at night during a full moon to avoid... encounters with law enforcement. There are ways if you are motivated.
