Laurence, thanks for sharing your very personal journey and reflections on acknowledging age and physical limitations. While I too now prioritize getting to new places, you remind that I make time to say "goodbye" to my personal favorites and once there spend to make it a proper goodbye.
Your love of Dusy Basin is unmistakable.
The second "Peaks, LeConte Canyon, lower Dusy Basin, sunrise" photo...yes, Dusy Basin is special.

Harlen, Sbennet, and Steve, thank you for reading and enjoying my post. It's nice to know it's appreciated.
I don’t need a goal destination. I need a destination that meets my goals.

But it is your fine post that got me going-- thanks Lawrence.
Not only appreciated, but inspirational. I see a 5 day weather window right now (3/22- 3/26), and after seeing your magical Dusy Basin photos, that is now my first choice of a destination. It's those two "Winchell Crest" photos dancing around on my brain. I want to stare into those Palisades at sunset! Hope I can pull it off.... skis-which skis? sHarlen, Sbennet, and Steve, thank you for reading and enjoying my post. It's nice to know it's appreciated.
