I use list of johns, and my eyes if I want to go up something I usually do, LOJ dont have it where anybody can add a peak like peakbagger. It is based on prominence over 300ft and also have lesser ones also. List of johns takes donations $20 year to use. Always good to beat Smatko and Bob burd, patacap is my friend Robert.

I agree with Wildhiker that you visited “awesome alpine terrain” covering more miles and elevation gain and loss that even when I was 20-30 years younger would have been incredibly daunting. I also appreciate how your love of doing it all shines through in your descriptions and photos.
I don’t need a goal destination. I need a destination that meets my goals.

lake 10458 looked really nice and really wanted to stay at lake below dykeman pass on the alpine pass side and get the peak above it, if Robert could have stayed longer, I like the lakes almost as much as the peaks! Only saw people beginning of 1st day and end of last day, my kind of trip! Will hopefully post my trip to Styx which is right by Goddard soon. This year hopefully 10 day to seven gables area to work on mt hilgard quad again with beautiful lakes and peaks. probably solo as friend Robert is about to have baby number two. And maybe the meetup if everything works out.

7/28 Day 7 I had decided to hike out with Robert instead of staying more days. 23miles 1500gain 4200loss. Cathedral lake, midway lake around to portal lake, and out trail to maxson trailhead. Then drove to almost top of Sonora pass before I couldn't drive further even though it was only alittle over an hour home. I was tired!
I guess you just need to get in shape Kim- maybe work out a bit so you can finish your little hiking trips, and get back home again. Or you could hire a driver? I can see myself lolling around Courtright Resevoir for 7 days, reading a stack of books, drinking coffee, a few beers, maybe take a swim... while you sweat and strain yourself. I bet I could gain a pound for every one you lose pounding up and down the peaks. I'd be in fine shape when you come staggering out, and ready to drive you home.

On a serious note, Black Crown must have been quite a fine climb, it doesn't look easy. Congratulations on your great climbs all around the hallowed Goddard land. I envy you most for your expereiences on Charybdis and the rest of the peaks that hang over Ionian Basin. What a great bunch on mountaineering days you have had! Cheers, Harlens.
