I didn't make a map. I tried to make the route description clear when using 7.5-minute USGS maps. See, for example, the "Scanned Topos" layer in CalTopo.
Anyone, feel free to ask questions. I can add more details.

Hi @tomba, thank-you for sharing this TR. I am inspired by your style of cross-country traveling. . . It seems like you follow your curiosity and instincts, rather than following a strict itinerary. Also, your photos are incredible, especially at dawn & dusk with the dynamic light and pink skies
