Making my winter trip plans, looking at a week in the area of Organ Pipe Cactus. Anyone have any experience there? Any other places of interest nearby?
I have seen the warnings about dispersed camping solo and to stay in groups.

Re: Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument, Arizona
We visited Saguaro National Park last May, about 120 miles from Organ Pipe. We did some day hikes there but did not camp. It's a nice area and we enjoyed it. We also visited the Desert Botanical Garden near Phoenix, which was nice and recommended. I don't know about the winter, though. I don't think any of the plants will be in bloom.
