I finally made a run up to Sardine Lakes in Sierra County; I've been wanting to explore that area for some time now. It was absolutely worth the wait, as I found the scenery to be nothing short of stunning; Upper Sardine Lake in particular. The hike from Lower Sardine to Upper was less than a mile, and was a nice, gradual ascent. What a place!
It's really pretty, but when selecting the background music from The Edge, I expected Bart to show up for a cameo appearance.

I don't give out specific route information, my belief is that it takes away from the whole adventure spirit of a trip, if you need every inch planned out, you'll have to get that from someone else.

Haha, no kidding! Glad his cousin(s) didn't make any appearances, albeit I'd love to see one from a safe distance. The only animals I saw were squirrels, and lots of them.
Regarding The Edge: great film, with a fantastic score. Jerry Goldsmith outdid himself with that one. That music compliments natural scenery with perfection.

Nice! Thanks for highlighting a new place for us. We really want to get there now. Any fishing in those lakes?
From what I've read, Lower Sardine is the lake to fish, albeit I don't know if it's a "hot spot" or not. I went there for the scenery.
