R03/R01 TR: Sabrina Lake to North Lake (+Ionian Basin) 8/29-9/2/24

We went to McGee Lakes basin over McGee Lakes Pass North, Davis Lakes basin over Davis-McGee Pass (name from MapBuilder on CalTopo, a.k.a. Pass 11,720 on HST map), Ionian Basin over Wanda Pass (traversing directly from Davis Lakes basin north of peak 12976'), then to JMT over Black Giant Pass.

We went over McGee Lakes South in August (Secor's 11,800+) as I'd done the main/north one before and looked at Davis-McGee Pass. I assume you went up it the chute downcanyon side (photo right)? I don't remember what the Davis side would look like. How was it?

Day 2: Echo Lake to Lake 11828 (via Echo Col and Black Giant Pass)

Since you wrote up the col already, why not post the relevant in the passes subforum? It's not like there's any real criteria for posting there and other takes are useful. Trip reports will just get buried over time and there's not a lot of structure aside from the search function which can be tedious.

I assume you went up it the chute downcanyon side (photo right)?

On the McGee Lakes basin side in the photo below we went from the snow patch at the bottom-right pretty much straight to the lowest point. A mix of talus and solid rock.

I don't remember what the Davis side would look like. How was it?

Makes sense, looking at it from below it seemed like staying near that talus chute to the right that leads to the low point would be the way to do it - the solid rock nearer the ridge looked like some significant little cliffs that'd be rough with full packs. The little rib below was probably welcome.
