Missing Person in Yosemite (Resolved)

Use this forum to stay informed on missing persons alerts, active SAR's and unfortunate hiker accidents we can all hopefully learn from. Any information you may have on a missing person, including first hand weather related information or any other insight (however little) may prove to be critical information to Law Enforcement / SAR in locating the person in question.

MISSING PERSON: Kirk S. Thomas Olsen

Yosemite National Park rangers are currently searching for an overdue backpacker near Ostrander lake. If you were in the area between August 23 and August 27 and saw the the missing person OR were in the area and did NOT see him, please contact the ISB tip line at 888-653-0009.

Olsen planned to backpack in the Ostrander Lake Area from August 23 to 27, and has been overdue for two weeks.

Olsen is a 61-year-old Caucasian male, 6 feet tall and 190 pounds, with blonde hair, blue eyes, and a fair complexion.

I don't give out specific route information, my belief is that it takes away from the whole adventure spirit of a trip, if you need every inch planned out, you'll have to get that from someone else.

UPDATE (September 14 at 9 am): Kirk S. Thomas Olsen was found deceased. No further information is available.
