Hello! How is the road to Taboose Pass these days? Is it passable in a Subaru Forester for a moderately experienced driver? If it's sketchy, how close can one safely park and hike in? In other words, what are good strategies to reach this trailhead without a 4x4 truck?

I don't give out specific route information, my belief is that it takes away from the whole adventure spirit of a trip, if you need every inch planned out, you'll have to get that from someone else.
