Re: 2024 HST Meetup
I tentatively plan on camping at Gables Lake the 24th. Then go up to the meetup location on the 25th while fishing V-Lake and other nearby lakes. I must leave early on the 26th. I would move camp up there if I knew someone else was going to be there. Do we have an EXACT location for the social activities? If the official meetup is the 26th, I would like to know where those arriving the 25th will camp so we can meet each other even if it is not at the official meetup.

In the crosshairs:Do we have an EXACT location for the social activities?
HST Map
I will be there by possibly the afternoon of the 24th, but for sure, by the 25th.

I don't give out specific route information, my belief is that it takes away from the whole adventure spirit of a trip, if you need every inch planned out, you'll have to get that from someone else.

Re: 2024 HST Meetup
I got a permit for Friday the 26th from Bear Ridge (my partner can't leave any earlier). If we don't make it to Vee the first night, hopefully we will catch some of you the next morning.
(P.S. I owe the forum a few TRs from the last two summers...)

Re: 2024 HST Meetup
When I open the map, the "cross hair" is on the top of the bench due East of Vee Lake. The crosshair moves off that location, however, if I attempt to zoom in/out the map area or center the map on other features. In effect the crosshair marks the center of the viewing area, not a location marker, per se. So is that bluff the rendezvous spot?

Hola,
Yes, the bluff is the rendezvous spot, Ed.
So, will this mean you will be able to attend?

Re: 2024 HST Meetup
Things are looking real good at this time, hopefully I don't get in my own way and overdo my hill climbing workouts. In any case I'll go to any length just to piss off the Grim Reaper. He'll not be the issue this time, given he is probably still nursing a torn rotator cuff he likely acquired as a result of the wild swing and miss swipe he made my way with his scythe last fall.
