@papercup @wsp_scott thank you for the comments, I am working on updating my itinerary/routes to allow for more options based on conditions, exertion, etc. as well as staying closer to the Dusy Basin/LeConte Canyon area. Very helpful options for areas to explore, I appreciate that!

I tried to take some of the ideas here and your preferences and mash them all together. The main feature is going up or down cataract creek/pass and connecting through dumbbell lakes to lakes basin. From lakes basin you would start your return (perhaps after taking a layover day?). You would cover a good chunk of the yellow line you had originally on your map. Or you could have this route in mind if you want to make attempt the original route but have to cut short.

maxr22 thanks for putting time into that map. I appreciate it, it looks to be much more of an attainable route for my first time into the Sierra Nevada's
