We're just back from ten days of exploring the desert: Virgin River Gorge, Warner Valley, Whitney Pocket, Red Rock Canyon, and Death Valley. We saw great petroglyphs in four different sites, hiked in a state park, a national monument, a national park, and a natiojnal conservation area. We saw dinosaur tracks and ice age fossils, an abandoned mine and more stunning desert views than you can imagine. We saw wind, rain, sun and snow.
And we actually found a way to enjoy Las Vegas. Go figure.

Which also includes a link to the whole photo blog...as well as the previous four parts of the trip.

What an amazing trip! Your journey through such diverse landscapes and historical sites sounds incredible. The petroglyphs and fossils must have been fascinating to see in person.
