Leavit Lake road conditions?

I was planning an October trip into the Emigrant Wilderness and thinking about trying the Leavit Lake trail head to access some higher lakes. I was wondering if anyone has been up there recently and is the road is passable? I have a Chevy Colorado Z71 4wd with big tires. Please let me know if you have been there. I am not looking for a 4wd adventure but if road is in reasonable shape I would like to try it to hit High Emigrant, Snow, Bigelow and Twin lakes. Otherwise Kennedy meadows. Thanks!
