Interesting article in the Chron today, showing photos from a dayhike to Gaylor Lakes, just off the eastern entry to Yosemite Park (Hwy 120). Lots of snow and beautiful suncups but it appears to my eye to be melting fast. This is at an altitude of about 10,000 feet. The photos were taken on June 25th. It reminds me of the western approach to Muir Pass in early July of a normal year.
