Water absorbed by perennial plant roots in washes could result in some interesting wildflower blooms. Most annuals won't germinate as summer heat would block.
After my 2016 superbloom work at the park, I've been hoping for another wet winter before I get too old. February 2023 may happen. The 2016 bloom followed an October 2015 deluge that given less warm fall conditions did prime considerable germination that was followed by modest storms in January.
I was out there also Feb of 2016. I was so ignorant that I had no idea we would run into a superbloom. We just got incredibly lucky! It was so gorgeous.
