Request: Shingle spring to Cherry Creek use trail

I'm looking for trail conditions on the use trail described in Emigrant Wilderness guide book from Shingle Spring down to Cherry Creek at the ponds at 4,880'. I've done this route many times pre-fires but when I tried it 2 years ago, it was completely impassable. Has anyone done this recently? To be clear, I'm not referring to the trail up Kibbe Ridge to Styxx Pass.
