Vogelsang Peak in Yosemite (6/24-6/26)
Mosquitoes 3-4 in the daytime, 4 in the dawn/dusk time (swarms making it difficult to be outside of tent before sundown).
Present despite rain storms two of the three days. They're out. Ranger called it "an army of mosquitoes in Tuolumne Meadows."

Emigrant Wilderness 6/24-6/28
Emigrant Wilderness June 24-28
Mosquitoes in Northern Emigrant appear to be moving higher in elevation. Below 8000 they seemed to be intermittent or not a problem. 8000-8500 they were more present but tolerable. Above 8500 they could be terrible.
Relief Reservoir 7200 1
Summit Creek 8200 2
Emigrant Meadow Lake 9400 3
Middle Emigrant Lake 9300 5. It was hard to breath without inhaling them until I got the headnet on.
Emigrant Lake 8800 3
Buck Meadow Lake 8300 2, but more at inlet/marshy end.
Upper Wire Lake 8800 3 Completely clear during the day but very thick in evening.
Trail between Salt Lick Meadow and Upper Relief Valley (8800) 4

Duck Pass; Ram, Virginia, Purple Lakes 7/2-7/4
Duck Pass TH to Duck Pass - 1 (moderate [3] passing by Barney Lake but they didn't land or bite)
Duck Pass to Ram Lake - 1
Virginia Lake - 1
Duck Lake - 1
Weather was on the cool side and it was breezy, which I think helped a lot. Clothes were treated. Never used my headnet or bug spray.
