current Whitney mountaineer's route conditions?

Pending trip w my 15 y/o up the mountaineer's route to summit Whitney, and more importantly, hopefully summit Muir as my last 14neer. Wondering if anyone has been up the couloir and chute recently? As it is a dry year I'm not counting on snow/ice in early Aug but I don't want to be surprised. I recall overhearing that the couloir had been negatively affected by heavy runoff in 2018 or 2019. A recent status report would be appreciated. Thx.
