Eastern Sierra Permit Pickup?
Last year the normal process of picking up permits was all done online via email. I have a trip this upcoming weekend with a permit reserved on recreation.gov (pine creek). I'm curious if anyone has picked up a permit this year and can attest to whether the process is the same as last year or is back to the normal pickup process...

It's not exactly like last year, but it's similar. You should have gotten instructions with your reservation email.

From the Need to Know section on Inyo's recreation.gov:
Visitor centers are issuing all permits by email and phone for the 2021 season. No walk up service.
1 or 2 weeks before the trip, check in by phone or email to request your permit.Print out and sign the permit. The permit must be in the group leader’s possession during the trip and must be presented to rangers upon request. Group leader is accepting responsibility to ensure everyone in their group will follow the rules and regulations on the permit.
To Check-in by Email (allow 2 days to receive the permit)
Subject Line: [Entry Date] [Trail Name] [Reservation Number]
Answer the following;
Have you viewed the Leave No Trace video?
How you will store your food?
What is your final group size?
If you did not complete your itinerary provide the general location you plan to be each day.

Thanks ya'll. Hopefully this thread helps out some other folks as well who are also bad at reading fine print in their emails.
